I think this is what I need to have on posts at the moment as my ability to keep up with what's happening here in Brazil is so limited at the moment.
I'm now out on the road and won't get back to the office permenantly until September 24th. It started last weekend at the end of July with the AIESEC national President's meeting in Sao Paulo. It was really good for me to finally meet many of the Presidents and hear more about their local committees. Some of the conference was done in English but most of it was done in Portuguese. It made it very hard for me to follow what was going on but it was also very valuable to hear a lot of Portuguese and to see how much I have learnt since arriving in Brazil.
On Friday I travelled to Campinas which is a city about the size of Adelaide 1.5-2hours from Sao Paulo for local planning. Once again most of the planning was done in Portuguese but I still felt as a coach that I was able to contribute quite a lot to the plan and helped them to creat a good plan. It was back to Sao Paolo at 11pm Sunday night.
Monday night I got on a bus and travelled six hours south of Sao Paulo to Curitiba in the State of Parana. I will be here until Sunday also on a coaching visit. Something happened somewhere between SP and here which totally changed my view about the winter in Brazil. The temperature today in Curitiba is 9*C and raining heavily!!! We had some thunder and lightening earlier too. So I'm frozen and totally not prepared for this kind of weather, especially after temperatures in the late 20s last week.
I will get back to Sao Paulo sometime on Sunday the 14th of August. Leave for Australia/India on the 17th, on the way to India I have two days in Sydney. Leaving Delhi on September 9th, two days in Madrid and then arriving back in Brazil and Sao Paulo on the 12th of September. On the 14th of September I will then travel to Maringa which is about 12 hours from SP for another coaching visit. Finally I will get back to Sao Paulo sometime between September 22nd and 24th.
So my apologies if I don't update my blog much in the next month or so. There would be lots to write about but probably not that much time! Stay tuned to the next issue: The virtues of travelling by bus in a country the size of Australia.

Hey there Luce,
Good to hear that everything is coming along well...and the work def sounds exciting. It sounds as though your Portuguese is coming along a lot better than my Croatian- a situation I will have to rectify. And you get a stop in Australia you lucky thing...you should get your Mum to send over an electriy blanket for you to pickup!
Love Renee
