This is the life

ahh.... a perfect start to the new year.

After having a week back at work, taking two days off to travel to the edge of Brazil, hot weather (42o), good company, ralaxation by the pool and seeing some of the most wonderful images that Brazil has to offer.

Finally I´ve made it to Foz do Iguaçu, also known as Foz do Iguassu on the Argentina and Brazil border. It is also very close to the Paraguan border.

Cato (Dutch friend staying in Rio) and I stayed at Paudimar youth hostel, which I definitely recommend and had new neighbours everynight in our dorm, 2 Israelis, 2

Norwegians, 1 Brit, 1 Argentinian, and 2 Australians, all but the argentinan Anna stayed only 1 night compared with our 5 as most peoiple do a rush job of seeing such magnificant falls as a part of their South American whorl wind tour. They stay one night on the Brazil side and one day on the Argentinian side and then head to Beunos Aires or wherever.

Our travelling partners were Brad and Andrew two great Canadians, whom we met at the first dinner here. They were a lot of fun and certainly guys I would be happy to travel with in the future (boys - send us your photos!)

The weather has been so hot but we had the time to relax and take it easy do it slow. There is a much needed pool here in the hostel so have been there in the morning and at night.

Definite highlights was the boat trip to the falls, the Argentina side of the falls and getting so close to them, Paraguay markets and the crazy bridge and the party we had the night after going to Argentina - good people from Sth Africa, Brazil, Mexico and all the other countries mentioned above.

Check out the photos in a few days.

a great description of the foz. damn, hostel there kicked some serious ass with pick-up international soccer games, good cheap all you can eat food (and drinks); and, of course, great company (namely you and cato) from around the world.

well i am back in cold canada (edmonton to be exact -- which happens to be close to jasper and banff so i expect to see you here some time soon!)

    Hey Brad,

Good to hear from you. You're crazy, don't work too hard, looks like one day back in chilly Edmonton and already you can't see what your posted on the screen!
