No title
well, urged on by some regular readers to actually post something of substance, I'm sitting here trying to work out what to write.
Now that Grandma and Ali are gone, I don't feel like I have much to write. Not that much going on, nothing that big to look forward to in the next few days, in short nothing exciting to write about.
Something that has been playing a lot on my mind in the last week or so though is the end of my time here in Brazil. My official term ends in less then three months no and my visa in two months. The decision about whether to go home again when my visa expires or to try and stay here until the end of July when I need to be back in Australia has consumed an aweful lot of thinking time.
I have finishing uni as such a clear goal that i begin to wonder if I am wasting valuable time by staying here, even when there are many opportunities here that give me some great experiences. I'm also looking forward to seeing friends and family again and getting some different kinds of work experience. This is a key reason why I thought of coming home earlier.
On the other side of the coin, I'm in Brazil now and who know's when I'm going to come back. It's still a dream of mine to go to the amazon in the north and spend some time there to see what a completely different part of Brazil is like. This needs time and the only time I have for it at the moment would be in July. It would be great to be in Brazil during the world cup and to finish my term here properly. Selena (my sister) sent me an email the other day as well, suggesting she might be able to come and visit in July.
Mum and Dad called on the weekend and it was great to hear from them, they helped me to clarify a lot of my points and I think I'll be staying until the end of July!
I'm giving myself until after Easter to make a final decision because this week will give me a few different perspectives - everyone is back in the office this week, we have a session with Wilma and for Easter I'm doing a 3 day hiking tour of the pantanal, one of the biggest wetlands reserves in the world.
This is where my head is at, at the moment.
Love and hugs,
Lucy

Stay in Brazil for the World Cup! Man that would be awesome... to be the Aussie supporter in a bar full of Brazilians during the Australia v Brazil match... We might just give Brazil a run for its money!
