The Pantanal
For Easter I went bush to one of the largest wetlands in the world - The Pantanal.
It was really beautiful but because of the full moon a cold front came through and we didn't see as much wildlife as we would have liked as there wasn't a lot of sun. It was a small group that I traveled with 2 Irish, 2 Danes and 2 Brazilians. We slept in hammocks and drank a suprising amount of capirinha for what was supposed to be a back to basics weekend! The great thing about getting up at 6am though is going to bed at 9.30pm!
Here is me catching my first Piranha and also the first time at riding a horse as we went through the wetlands.
The rest of my photos are uploaded already - go check them out if you like scenery and animal photos otherwise don't bother. There is an Armadillo, Iguana and a lesser anteater as well as a lot of Alligators - they were everywhere.
